Rates are based individually, depending on the project involved, its scope and its deadline. All work is strictly confidential; a confidentiality agreement is provided.
The CEO and founder of The Word Mason is Molly Alexander Darden. Molly is a bilingual, published copywriter and copyeditor. Her multicultural experience stems from an 18-year partnership involving India, 9 years living in Ireland, and service as translator/interpreter at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Miami Heart Institute (MHI) as well as coordination of a goodwill cardiology program between MHI and the countries of Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Nicaragua. She has been closely allied with both Hindu and Muslim families, and understands the nuances of both cultures.
Mrs. Darden's experience includes copyeditor on the international and national news desk at a daily newspaper affiliate of The New York Times in Florida. As editor of a weekly newspaper, she wrote and edited all stories including news, business, politics, and entertainment. She has promoted entertainers and athletes, and written a regular column for a music magazine.
In financial services, she edited Operations Manuals and translated a variety of mission-critical documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish for Dover International, LLC, n/k/a BISYS Regulatory Services, a global financial regulatory support firm. At Emory University she prepared and edited grant applications in biological and biomedical research. Her current editing clients also reflect her expertise in editing engineering and other technical documents, academics, scientific research, novels and memoirs.
